The Introduction of Ad Revenue on X
X’s ad-revenue-sharing system was introduced by Musk last year as part of several changes. Launched in July, this payment scheme allows creators to receive a share of the revenue from ads. This revenue comes as replies to their posts since February. Musk mentioned at the time that the initial payments to creators amounted to $5 million. With regards to this, some users reported substantial payouts.
Linda Yaccarino, the CEO of X, has actively encouraged content creators to transition to the platform. In a recent announcement, Yaccarino highlighted new shows on X featuring notable personalities. They include former CNN host Don Lemon, Tulsi Gabbard, and Jim Rome. This suggests the platform’s efforts to attract a diverse range of content and creators to enhance its appeal and offerings.
